The Luís Pedro Silva, Arquitecto, Lda. architecture office was founded in 2000. Luis Pedro Ferreira da Silva is the main managing partner. Born in Oliveira de Azeméis, Portugal. He graduated in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP). He is a master degree graduate jointly by FAUP and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and completed a PhD on Architecture. He is a professor at FAUP since 2000.
The activity of Luís Pedro Silva, Arquitecto, Lda. focuses on the Architecture Project with a broad perspective of space organization, allowing on one hand to integrate and coordinate a wide range of disciplines and, on the other, to develop studies, projects and consultancy in several areas of intervention. The highest specificity lies in the ability to interrelate these different scales and disciplines to service design and space organization.
Due to the close relationship to prospecting and research, the office has developed a gradual awareness of the collective importance of architecture, highlighting concerns and principles of environmental and social character, systematizing in order to integrate in the project space.
In addition to technical and disciplinary concerns in finding customized solutions, it involves positively in ensuring compliance with deadlines and budgets at all stages of the project and work in close relationship with the customer and the various actors in the project and construction process.
